Job summary

SRG Global is seeking casual Refractory Bricklayers to join the Refractory Installation team during maintenance shutdowns at NZ Steel site in Glenbrook, South Auckland. Applicants should have a bricklaying trade qualification or demonstrated experience, preferably with refractory installation.

Familiarity with different refractory installation types and the ability to work in a team or autonomously are essential, along with a strong health and safety commitment and a good level of fitness.

Qualifications

• Bricklaying trade qualification or proven experience, preferably in refractory installation.
• Familiar with different refractory installation types.
• Ability to work in a team or autonomously.
• Willingness to meet high health and safety standards.
• Good level of fitness.
• Current driver’s license and own transport.
• Flexible availability including overtime, weekends and overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Join the Refractory Installation team during maintenance shutdowns at NZ Steel site in Glenbrook, South Auckland.
• Perform refractory bricklaying tasks as directed by site supervisor.
• Commit to safety, quality, and timely completion of installation works.

Applicants should ideally have:

• A bricklaying trade qualification or demonstrated experience, preferably with refractory installation

• A willingness to meet a high standard of Health and Safety compliance
• A good level of fitness
• A current driver's license and own transport
• Flexible availability (overtime, weekends and overnight jobs away from home)
