Job summary

A leading brewing company in Timaru is seeking a Brewing Operator to join their team. You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery while ensuring product quality and safety in brewing processes. Brewing Operator – DB Draught Brewery, Timaru (Internal title: Process Technician)

Be part of something iconic. Join the DB Draught Brewery team in Timaru and help craft some of New Zealand’s most beloved beer and cider brands. As a Brewing Operator, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality beverages that Kiwis love, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Operating and maintaining brewery machinery to top standards
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and sustainability are front and centre
  • Monitoring product quality and executing production plans
  • Applying TPM tools to improve performance and eliminate losses
  • Championing shop floor excellence through DCS, 5S, CILT, and problem-solving

What you’ll bring:

  • Secondary education plus either:
    • A Level 4+ qualification in Science, Maintenance, or Engineering, or
    • 2–3 years’ experience in FMCG operations or maintenance
  • Bonus points for experience in brewing, biotechnology, TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma
