Job description
Position Overview

We have a position at ANZCO Foods Canterbury, Seafield Road Ashburton for a Biotissues Process Technician to work at our MPI and ISO approved laboratory in Ashburton on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a varied and challenging role in an exciting and growing industry. The hourly rate for this position will range from $31 - $32 per hour.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Biotissues Production Manager, this is a hands‑on production role that is responsible for harvesting, handling and processing bovine materials used in a range of medical implants for human use. You will also be responsible for preparing chemicals, performing some QA testing, and completing hygiene and cleaning processes.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a laboratory or cleanroom or similar setting (minimum 1 year required)
  • Good attention to detail, numeracy, and ability to follow SOPs
  • The ability to manage and complete tasks and accurately complete all required paperwork
  • The ability to work consistently both independently and as part of a close‑knit team
  • Previous experience in beef slaughter operations an advantage
  • Good understanding and experience with aseptic techniques
