Job summary

Alignerr seeks PhD-level Biochemists to train and refine AI models on advanced biochemical topics, from protein folding to metabolic flux. This fully remote hourly contract role offers flexible hours and the chance to shape AI reasoning in life sciences.

You will design challenging biochemistry problems, author rigorous ground-truth solutions, and audit AI-derived outputs for scientific accuracy. No AI background required beyond deep domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• PhD completed or in final stages in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or closely related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics.
• Able to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly in written form.
• Precise and detail-oriented when working with chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental data.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Problems across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to stress-test AI reasoning.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions with rigorous, step-by-step technical explanations for benchmarking AI systems.
• Audit AI Outputs by evaluating biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and derivations for accuracy and integrity.
• Refine AI Reasoning by identifying errors and providing structured feedback to improve model performance.
