Qualifications

• Bilingual in te reo Maori, Samoan or Tongan.
• Registered teacher in New Zealand.
• Passionate about bilingual education and culturally responsive teaching.

• Familiar with the New Zealand Curriculum.
• Collaborative and reflective teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Teach the New Zealand Curriculum with a primary focus on bilingual language development in te reo Maori, Samoan or Tongan.
• Create engaging, inclusive learning environments where all students feel valued.
• Build positive relationships with students, whānau and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to support student success.

About the role:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Year level is flexible and will be matched to the successful candidate's strengths and experience (the school has some flexibility to shuffle around the team accordingly)
• You'll teach the New Zealand Curriculum, but you'll be teachingprimarily inte reo Maori, Tongan or Samoan (whichever of these languages you speak)
• South Auckland location - Manukau general region.
• Commencing in the new year. 2027 - Term 1

• Bilingual - either te reo Maori, Samoan, or Tongan
• Qualified and Registered teacher
• Currently in New Zealand with the right to work
• Is passionate about bilingual education and culturally responsive teaching

• Well versed in the New Zealand Curriculum
