Qualifications

Beverages Technician (Internal position title: Syrup Technician)

Location: Ōtāhuhu, Auckland

Roster: Rotating shifts – mornings (6am–2pm), afternoons (2pm–10pm), nights (10pm–6am)

Type of Contract: Full time Permanent

Join DB Breweries’ Waitemata Brewing & Utilities Team and help craft the beverages Kiwis love. From legendary beers to refreshing ciders and RTDs, you’ll play a hands-on role as a Beverages Technician, delivering high-quality products that uphold our reputation for excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

As a Beverage Technician, you’ll rotate through key brewing areas, gaining a holistic view of our operations while contributing to the success of our department. You’ll:

  • Operate and monitor brewing processes for beer, cider, and RTDs
  • Collaborate with Inventory, Planning, and Packaging teams to meet production targets
  • Perform quality checks and uphold Heineken’s global standards for safety, food safety, and sustainability
  • Maintain a clean and tidy brewery environment
  • Identify and resolve equipment issues, working closely with the Maintenance Team
  • Drive continuous improvement through Heineken’s TPM system

Your background and experience:

  • Minimum secondary education, plus either:
    • A Level 4+ tertiary qualification in Science, Food Tech, Maintenance, or Engineering
    • OR 2–3 years’ experience in FMCG operations or maintenance
  • Bonus experience in:
    • Brewing, Biotechnology, or FMCG
    • TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies
