Job summary

Brookstead Ltd in New Zealand is seeking a hands-on farm worker (or a couple) for an exciting new block near North Otago, close to Oamaru. The role involves tractor and dry stock work on a block adjoining a 1000‑cow dairy farm; milking is not required.

Hours are flexible with a 6:2 roster, and accommodation on farm is provided (a small cottage or larger family house). You should have farm experience, a current driver’s licence, be physically fit and happy working outdoors, and able to work

Qualifications

• Previous farm experience is essential.
• Ability to drive a tractor and operate farm machinery.
• Hold a full, current driver''s licence.
• Experience working with stock.
• Be physically fit, healthy and happy working outdoors.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Tractor work and irrigation fittings.
• Post driving, fencing and cattle work.
• Support on the adjoining block with dry stock tasks.
