Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Shake, stir and serve cocktails to QT standard.
• Deliver warm, attentive service to Rooftop guests.
• Maintain knowledge of drinks and food menu to guide guests.
• Keep section stocked, clean and ready for service, handle opening/closing duties.
• Process payments accurately and follow RSA policies.
• Participate in trainings and support other outlets when required.

The Role

Summer is coming and QT Rooftop Auckland needs a Cocktail Bartender to help make it one to remember. Perched above the Viaduct with views across the harbour, QT Rooftop is one of Auckland's favourite spots when the sun is out and the city is alive. This is a part-time role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week, perfect for someone who wants to make the most of the summer season while doing what they do best. If you shake a mean cocktail, love the energy of a buzzing rooftop and know how to make a guest feel like they picked exactly the right place to spend their evening, let's talk.

Key Responsibilities

• Shake, stir and serve a range of cocktails and beverages to the QT standard, ensuring every drink that leaves the bar is worth coming back for.
• Deliver warm, attentive service to Rooftop guests, reading the room and staying one step ahead of what they need.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the full drinks and food menu, guiding guests through options, pairings and recommendations with confidence.
• Keep your section stocked, clean and guest-ready throughout service, completing all opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Handle payments accurately, follow all cashiering and RSA policies and ensure all bar equipment is well maintained and protected.
• Participate in training sessions, attend scheduled meetings and support other outlets when required.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a cocktail bartender in a premium bar, hotel or high-volume venue.
• Strong cocktail knowledge with the technique to back it up and an eye for presentation and consistency.
• A natural ability to connect with guests and bring personality to every service without losing focus on the craft.
• A current LCQ/Manager's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Impeccable personal presentation and a positive, professional attitude when the bar is three deep.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays throughout the summer season.
