Job description

We are a large Supermarket in a competitive area where we are seeking an innovative, energetic and enthusiastic person to help assist in the management our Bakery. We require someone with the ability and passion to continue to challenge and grow the business.

The successful applicant is a person who can plan, organise, lead and control the operations of the Bakery Department alongside, and, in the absence of the Bakery Manager.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • A dedication to Customer Service
  • A passion for the Industry
  • Develop and continually introduce new and specialised products

This is a full-time, waged position, reporting directly to the Bakery Manager. You will be required to do early starts and also late starts as we run our production through to mid evening.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring standards of all products are achieved and maintained
  • The implementation of Food and Health and Safety requirements
  • Managing production to meet the Store’s requirements
  • Monitoring and managing wastage
  • The achievement of sales, gross profit and wage budgets
  • Build and maintain a positive work culture

Hours of work would be:

  • Sunday: 4.00am - 1.30pm
  • Monday: 4.00am - 1.30pm
  • Tuesday: 4.00am - 1.30pm
  • Thursday: 4.00am - 1.30pm
