Job summary

Ministry of Social Development (MSD) in Wellington is seeking a Platform Manager - Integration & Data Management to lead our enterprise integration program and shape a cloud-first future. You will own platform strategy, investment plans and service roadmaps for system, data and service connectivity across MSD.

You will drive Azure Integration Services adoption, migrate from IBM technologies, and partner with Architecture, Security and Transformation teams to deliver secure, scalable outcomes for

Qualifications

Experience leading enterprise integration platforms within large, complex environments.
Strong understanding of modern integration architecture, API management and event-driven patterns.
Experience developing platform strategy, capability roadmaps and investment plans.
Proficient with cloud-based integration technologies, especially Azure Integration Services, on cloud and on-prem environments.
Experience guiding technology modernisation, including platform migrations and retirement of legacy systems.
Strong data integration, messaging, API governance and secure information exchange principles.
Proven ability to lead through change with a focus on delivery, reliability and people leadership.
Strong Agile, DevSecOps and modern engineering discipline knowledge.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building across all levels.
Experience in large public sector or regulated environments, and managing vendors.

Responsibilities

Establish a compelling vision for MSD's Integration and Data Management capabilities with measurable business value.
Develop platform strategy, roadmaps and investment plans aligned to technology direction.
Lead adoption and optimisation of Azure Integration Services and cloud-native technologies.
Oversee migration and decommissioning of legacy IBM integration platforms and services.
Drive standardisation, reuse and reduction of technical debt across the integration landscape.
Provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams, deliver resource planning and enable platform outcomes.
