Job summary

Theta in New Zealand is seeking a Lead Integration Consultant to drive Azure integration projects for NZ organisations. You will be the hands-on technical lead, shaping architecture, guiding the delivery team, and ensuring quality across design, build, and handover.

You’ll work with architects and stakeholders in a supportive Digital Integration team, delivering cloud and hybrid solutions on the Microsoft stack from Wellington or Auckland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering integration solutions on Azure and leading impactful projects.
• Deep production experience with Azure Integration Services: API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, Functions.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and production behavior.
• Experience making detailed design decisions and owning outcomes.
• Wider Azure platform knowledge: identity, networking, security, monitoring.
• Customer facing experience and clear communication with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of integration projects from design through build, test, and handover.
• Make design decisions and select Azure services and patterns to meet requirements.
• Build resilient solutions with proper error handling and monitoring.
• Design and build APIs using Azure API Management with security and versioning.
• Ensure security and operations in the build with Entra ID and networking.
• Write code when needed and set quality standards for the team.
• Lead and mentor the delivery team and review designs and code.
• Contribute to scoping and estimation with Theta architects and project managers.
