Job summary

Theta’s Digital Integration team seeks a Lead Integration Consultant to own the technical delivery of Azure integration projects for NZ organisations. You’ll lead design decisions, steer the delivery team, and work with architects and stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Based in Wellington or Auckland, you’ll shape solutions across the Microsoft stack, drive best practices, and mentor engineers while maintaining a focus on security, resiliency, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering integration solutions on Azure, as technical lead on projects.
• Deep experience with Azure Integration Services: API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, Functions.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and production design decisions.
• Widest Azure platform familiarity: identity, networking, security, monitoring.
• Excellent customer-facing communication; able to explain technical concepts to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of Azure integration projects from design to handover.
• Make design decisions using Azure services and patterns to meet customer needs.
• Build resilient solutions with proper error handling and observability.
• Design and build APIs using Azure API Management with security and versioning.
• Ensure security and operations considerations are embedded in builds (Entra ID, private networking).
• Write code when needed and set quality standards for the team.
• Lead and mentor the delivery team and review designs and code.
• Contribute to scoping and estimation with Theta architects and project managers.
