Job summary

RTX Christchurch Engine Centre is seeking an Aviation Storeperson to join the onsite warehouse team. You will handle receiving, binning, issuing, kitting and despatching materials, while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.

The role requires physical work and the potential for overtime on short notice, with a pathway to forklift licensing if needed. Experience in warehousing and strong computer literacy are essential, along with the ability to work under regulatory requirements for

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience.
• Performing inventory cycle counts and ensuring stock accuracy.
• Able to perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, lifting, twisting).
• Willingness to gain a forklift license.
• Good computer literacy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, bin, issue, kit and despatch materials.
• Deliver materials to workshop workstations.
• Maintain stock accuracy and housekeeping to standards.
• Follow safety, regulatory and paperwork processes; undergo medical and drug/alcohol testing.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Aviation Storeperson to join our Warehouse team. In this role, you will carry out a variety of warehousing duties, such as receiving, binning, issuing, kitting, and dispatching materials, while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and quality standards. You will also ensure the safe handling of dangerous or hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements. This is a rotating shift position, and the successful candidate should be prepared to work overtime on short notice.

What We’re Looking for

• Experience
• Previous warehouse or stores experience
• Performing inventory cycle counts and ensures stock accuracy
• Deliver materials to the workstations in the workshop.
• Able to work in physical tasks, such as but not limited to: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and twisting.
• Ability and willingness to gain a forklift license.
• Acceptable level of computer literacy
• Technical Skills
• High level of attention to detail with all aspects of performing maintenance (including paperwork)
• Carry out a wide range of warehousing tasks such as receiving, binning, issuing, kitting, and despatching of material.
• Ensure material handling meets best practice procedures and appropriate regulatory requirements.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.
• This is a safety sensitive role, and successful candidates will go through a medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing.
• Understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks (Desirable)
• Experience with SAP, Solumina (Desirable)
