Job summary

Ventia in Auckland is seeking a Vegetation Spray Operator to maintain parks and reserves. This role is autonomous, suitable for someone who works well alone or in small teams and uses herbicides and manual methods to control vegetation.

Based in Mt Wellington with hours Monday to Friday 7am–3:30pm, you will operate and maintain spray equipment, follow health and safety protocols, and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 driver’s license (manual and automatic) is essential.
• Experience in spraying or vegetation control is preferred but not required; a great attitude and willingness to learn are key.
• Understanding of spray techniques, equipment, and safety protocols is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vegetation control across Auckland parks and reserves.
• Operating and maintaining spray equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Self-managing daily tasks and working effectively alone or in small groups.
