Health New Zealand’s Hawke’s Bay Emergency Department seeks a Nurse Practitioner for a fast track clinic fast-paced setting in Hastings. You will lead autonomous patient assessments, diagnose and treat acute conditions, and guide discharge planning with a focus on equitable care.

The role combines advanced clinical expertise with leadership and education, contributing to improved patient flow and access to care across the Hawke’s Bay region.

Qualificações

• Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Nurse Practitioner and an Annual Practising Certificate.
• At least five years of recent acute and/or emergency nursing experience.
• Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute illness/injury.
• Experience in wound management, suturing, and fracture management.
• Strong clinical decision making, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes.
• Passion for clinical leadership and mentorship of others.

Responsabilidades

• Lead healthcare provider in the Fast Track Clinic, Emergency Department.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat conditions.
• Request and interpret diagnostic investigations; determine treatment and discharge plans.
• Enhance patient flow and access to care within the Emergency Department.
• Support development of emergency nursing practice and education.
