Lockheed Martin in Wellington/Upper Hutt is offering an Automotive Apprentice role to gain hands-on experience while completing a trade qualification. You will work alongside skilled technicians to maintain and repair a range of military vehicles and equipment essential to NZ Defence Force operations. You’ll learn on the job and build a strong foundation for a career in automotive.

Qualifications

• Pre-trade technical training or work experience within the trade essential.
• NCEA Level 1 is required.
• Full Class 1 motor vehicle Licence is required.
• An ability to meet and maintain a NZ Security Clearance.
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic; willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Assist qualified technicians with vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
• Support vehicle repairs to meet WOF, COF, safety and operational standards.
• Build technical skills through structured on-the-job training.
• Learn diagnostic and fault-finding techniques.
• Carry out inspections under supervision.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas.
