Job summary

All Recruits is seeking an experienced Intermediate Systems Engineer to lead project systems integration in New Zealand. The role focuses on PLC, HMI and SCADA programming for dairy, food and beverage, civil infrastructure and water treatment sectors.

You will lead projects across design, development, deployment and commissioning of manufacturing automation solutions. A degree in Mechatronics or related field and 3+ years' automation experience are expected, with hands-on work on

Qualifications

• A degree with Mechatronics courses or related field.
• 3+ years experience as a full-time Automation Engineer delivering projects that required both PLC, HMI and SCADA programming.
• Experience with the tendering and estimation of projects - Must have done estimates and proposals for client automation projects.
• Have experience as a project development engineer building from scratch and integrating new modules into existing company automated systems.
• Must have experience developing code from scratch, writing Functional Descriptions, configuring and fault find historians / Databases, SCADA development, remote alarming, Ignition / System Platform / FTVIEW SE, tool development etc.
• Experience in the water, food, pharmaceutical or dairy industries in New Zealand.
• Experience with either Allen Bradley or Rockwell.
• Must have done estimates and proposals for new client automation system integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and systems integration across functional teams in design, development and deployment of manufacturing and process automation solutions.
• Design, programming, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and ongoing improvement of automation systems.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver on-time proposals and project milestones.
• Develop from-scratch code, FD specifications, and integration with historians/databases, alarms and remote monitoring.
• Support tendering, estimation and scoping activities for automation projects.
