Job summary

The Andersen Partnership in Auckland CBD is seeking an Audit Senior or Supervisor to lead day-to-day audit engagements, supervise junior staff, and liaise with clients to deliver findings. You’ll review financial statements and assess internal controls for IFRS compliance.

Requirements: a degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of external audit, and CA or CPA qualification (or pursuing). The role offers development, supportive leadership, flexible balance between work and life, and exposure

Qualifications

• 3+ years of external audit experience.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA or CPA qualification (Or pursuing).
• Strong understanding of IFRS and audit standards.
• Excellent organizational and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards while managing budget, timelines, and deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, conducting detailed workpaper reviews and providing real-time feedback to drive quality and team development.
• Liaise directly with clients to gather insights and deliver findings.
• Assess internal controls and identifying areas for improvement.
• Review and preparing financial statements in line with relevant standards.
• Work directly with Partners.
