Deloitte New Zealand in Christchurch seeks a Senior Consultant for Internal Audit and Controls Assurance to help strengthen risk management and governance across client engagements.

You'll work on planning, fieldwork, testing and reporting, collaborating with engagement teams and subject-matter experts to deliver practical recommendations and insights that improve control environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit and controls assurance.
• Exposure to risk frameworks, governance and control testing.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of internal audit and controls engagements including fieldwork and documentation.
• Develop understanding of business processes, risks and controls.
• Identify control gaps and propose practical improvements.
• Apply professional judgement to control design with guidance from seniors.
• Contribute to clear reporting for senior management and boards.
