Job summary

Tenzing Limited, Auckland-based, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major data services workstream within a large-scale transformation programme. You will bring structure, pace, and transparency to the data workstream, partnering with the Data Lead and specialist consultants.

This delivery leadership role focuses on governance, planning, and coordination across data migration, quality, testing, reconciliation, cutover, and related activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience managing complex technology projects or programmes.
• Experience leading multi-stream programmes involving diverse stakeholders and suppliers.
• Practical understanding of data migration, data quality, testing, reconciliation, governance, and cutover activities.
• Experience leading teams of consultants, analysts, architects, engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior executives and programme leaders.
• Commercial acumen and experience managing delivery against contractual commitments.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, establish momentum quickly, and maintain delivery control.
• Experience working in NZ government or highly governed organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery planning, scheduling, and workstream governance.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
• Coordinate consultants and client stakeholders.
• Provide clear reporting to programme and executive leadership.
• Manage delivery against scope, milestones, budgets, and commitments.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals, and acceptance across deliverables.
• Collaborate across client teams, implementation partners, and suppliers.
• Drive accountability and delivery discipline across the workstream.
