Job summary

PwC New Zealand is seeking experienced auditors to join our Assurance team at Senior Associate level across our NZ offices. You’ll deliver high‑quality external audits for a diverse client portfolio, partner with local and global organisations, and contribute to building public trust with rigorous audit practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience delivering external audit engagements in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Professionally qualified or actively working towards a recognized accounting qualification (e.g. CAANZ, CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to end-to-end external audit engagements, including coaching, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
  • Strong working knowledge of internationally recognized financial reporting standards, particularly IFRS.
  • A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a closely related discipline.

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and graduates, fostering a culture of excellence while supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Leverage leading-edge technology to deliver high-quality external audit work in line with PwC audit methodology and auditing standards.

We're seeking experienced auditors to join our Assurance team at Senior Associate level across PwC New Zealand office locations. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality external audit engagements across a diverse public and private sector client portfolio, working with leading local and global organisations.

This full-time role (Monday – Friday, minimum 37.5 hours per week) offers increased responsibility, direct client engagement, and opportunities to mentor junior team members, all within a supportive, values-led environment. Your day-to-day could include:

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your external audit experience, ideally gained within a large, globally recognized professional services or audit firm.

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience delivering external audit engagements within a complex, regulated environment.
  • Professionally qualified or actively working towards a recognized accounting qualification (e.g. CAANZ, CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to end-to-end external audit engagements, including coaching, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior team members.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
