The Associate Commercial Specialist is junior role within the team who will provide commercial supports by working alongside with the senior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

1) Contracts/Agreements Support :

- Preparing client contracts, variations, and finalising those terms with customers.
- Drafting standard clauses and creating customised clauses to address unique business conditions.
- Ensuring all agreements comply with legal policies. Negotiating simple updates.
- Responding to contractual interpretation questions and potential commercial/contract disputes.
- Consulting legal teams to manage risks and limit liabilities.

- Preparation of client contracts, variations, and finalization of those terms with the customer.

- Management and co-ordination of procurement activities required to support delivery of client contracts.

- Support with addressing contractual interpretation questions and commercial/contract disputes.

2) Commercial Advisory

- Providing commercial input into the sale process including:

  • Engaging with the sales team to prepare the commercial parts of sales proposals.
  • Providing input into the compilation of pricing models.
  • Documenting key pricing assumptions and risks.
  • Investigating and managing of the impacts of deal profitability including taxation and cost of living etc.
  • Evaluating the financing, leasing, and accounting impacts of deals.

- Managing and coordinating procurement activities to support delivery of client contracts, including:

  • Managing procurement processes, including obtaining quotes, preparing vendor recommendations.
  • Preparing master services agreements and statements of work.

3) Managing Internal Processes

- Facilitating review and sign-off processes, acting as a central point of contact, and maintenance of accurate records.

Knowledge and Attributes

- Proven business and commercial acumen coupled with an analytical mind.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in creating clear and comprehensive written documents.

- Developed influencing skills with lateral thinking ability.

- Excellent attention to details and organizational skills.

- Flexible and able to work under pressure without compromising quality and accuracy.

- Team player and a desire to learn.

- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Word).

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

Preferably a Bachelor's degree or in Legal, Business or Finance or a related field.

Required Experiences

We will consider some or all of the following experiences from applicants:

  • Experience in working within a commercial or similar field, preferably within an IT environment.
  • Experience with contract preparation and drafting.
  • Experience in deal structuring, pricing review, and modelling.
  • Experience working with vendors and/or suppliers.
  • Experience in procurement will be an added advantage.
