Job description

The Assoc Cloud Engineer deploys and configures solutions in the cloud. He/She automates cloud operations, develops infrastructure automation scripts and participates in the continuous improvement of cloud solutions. He/She participates in the specification, setup and runs Proof of Concepts (PoC) and demonstrations. He/She defines and deploys monitoring, metrics, and logging systems. He/She administers and maintains servers across virtual platforms and leverages open source solutions to automate tasks. He/She creates and improves procedures and authors technical documentation to enable self-service for most operational tasks.

He/She is meticulous in his/her approach, possesses inventiveness and attention to detail that aids in the development of solutions. He/She has the ability to understand the business requirements and propose affordable and feasible solutions.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and implement Jira ITSM forms
  • Develop and maintain custom workflows, business rules and groovy scripts
  • Implement ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, change, request and CMDB
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective technical designs
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbook for infrastructure automation
  • Build REST API integrations with internal systems to enable seamless end-to-end automation
  • Support platform upgrades, patch management, and ensure optimal performance and availability
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in computer science or related IT discipline, or equivalent experience
  • ITIL v3/v4 certification or equivalent experience in IT service management
  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous learning and skill development
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective user engagement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
  • Experience in cross-functional teams or projects is advantageous
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud is a plus but not mandatory
