Job summary

Mt Roskill Grammar School in Auckland invites applications for an Assistant Head of Department - Maths (2MU and 1MMA). You will lead the Mathematics department, model effective teaching, and support teachers across Years 7–15 and wharekura.

We value reflective, collaborative leadership with a focus on Māori, Pasifika and MEAR achievement, and experience with Restorative practice. The role is full-time and permanent, based on-site in Auckland.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within a school department.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum.
• Experience with culturally responsive practices.

Mount Roskill Grammar School is looking for an Assistant Head of Department - Maths, to join our large and exciting Mathematics department.

You will need to bring your passion and enthusiasm for leadership, teaching and learning. We are seeking a leader with strong knowledge of your Curriculum area. Experience with Teaching to the North East and Restorative practice are valuable. The ability to work in a way that is reflective, supportive, collaborative, student centred, with a focus on Māori, Pasifika and MEAR (Middle Eastern, African and Refugee) achievement are important.
