  • Support surveyors with field measurements including distances, levels and site data collection.
  • Assist with setting out and marking survey points and pegs.
  • Help prepare work areas, ensuring sites are ready for survey work.
  • Record and check field data accurately, supporting data capture.
  • Maintain survey equipment and support safe handling practices on site.
  • Work closely with the survey team to ensure accuracy, safety and efficiency across all tasks.
Your experience
  • Entry level role – no prior surveying experience required.

  • Not afraid of hard work, long hours or early starts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
  • Strong safety awareness and practical problem‑solving mindset.
  • Must be willing to commit to a site‑driven environment (Mon–Sat, 10+ hour days, 6:45am starts).
  • Full NZ Driver License preferred.

The opportunity to join a well-established Kiwi‑owned civil contractor with a strong pipeline of work and genuine long‑term career pathways. You’ll work alongside experienced surveyors, engineers and site teams who take pride in their work and are committed to developing good people.
