Job summary

sKids Westmere is looking for a friendly Programme Assistant to help make afternoons memorable for Tamariki. You’ll work a minimum of 8 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday, with shifts 2:30pm–6:00pm and some holiday programme hours possible.

Join a fun, supportive team and help supervise activities, keep spaces tidy, and ensure safe, energetic sessions for children after school.

Qualifications

  • Have the right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship).
  • Can get to sKids Westmere site with reliable transportation and/or a vehicle.
  • Are enthusiastic about working with kids – from babysitting to coaching to volunteering, any experience counts.
  • Are reliable, energetic, and keen to make every session special.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and supporting Tamariki in a range of fun, safe activities.
  • Keeping our spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children.
  • Helping your Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions that keep kids buzzing.
  • Spotting any hiccups (behaviour, wellbeing, safety) and sharing with your manager so everyone stays supported.

Job Description

As a Programme Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the afternoons unforgettable for children. You’ll be working a minimum of 8 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday.

  • Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm–6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
  • Potential school holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).
