Overview

Citizens Advice Napier is looking for a part-time Assistant manager.

Part-time 15+ hours per week negotiable and flexible. 2-3 days a week (must include Friday).

About the role

Ko te āheinga: The purpose of the role is to assist the manager with delegated management tasks in relation to:

  • Monthly Learning and Development Sessions
  • Supervision and management of volunteer teams
  • Community Networking
  • Development and Fundraising
About you

What we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate will have :

  1. An appropriate tertiary qualification and/or
  2. Experience in the Social Services/Community Services sector
  3. Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
  4. Cultural awareness and empathy
  5. Appropriate administrative skills and a basic understanding of financial management in a non-profit organisation

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Innovative and Proactive, a Self-Starter
  • a proven networker and confident public speaker
  • knowledgeable regarding the Treaty and tikanga
  • a supportive advocate
  • able to work with and manage Volunteers

The salary range will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The role could potentially move to full time.

As well as providing our core service of information, advice and support, CAB Napier also provides other services to meet community demand e.g. JP services and Legal Clinics.

Suitable candidates will be required to undertake appropriate training e.g. CAB Accreditation as a CAB Interviewer.
