Job summary

Synapxe is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant with strong MM and SD expertise. The role involves leading end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, and delivering engagement-wide value across procurement, inventory, and warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on MM/SD configuration, a track record of full-cycle implementations, and exposure to EWM, QM, and PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of SAP consulting experience with at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Strong hands-on configuration and functional expertise in MM and SD modules.
• Exposure to EWM, QM, and PM is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, rollout, and support initiatives.
• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional SAP solutions.
• Configure SAP MM and SD modules with exposure to EWM/QM/PM as applicable.
• Design and optimise end-to-end business processes across procurement, inventory, and maintenance.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and prepare functional specs for dev teams.
• Perform testing (unit/integration/UAT) and drive cutover planning and post-go-live support.
• Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to users.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Materials Management (MM) and Sales & Distribution (SD). Experience in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is highly desirable, while exposure to Quality Management (QM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) will be advantageous.

The candidate will have proven experience delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, including solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Strong business process knowledge, cross-functional integration expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions are essential.

SAP S/4HANA certification and experience across multiple implementation projects are highly preferred.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, rollout, enhancement, and support initiatives
• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into effective SAP functional solutions and process improvements
• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA modules, primarily MM and SD, with exposure to EWM, QM, and PM considered advantageous
• Design and optimise integrated business processes across procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, quality management, sales fulfilment, and plant maintenance
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders
• Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, interfaces, reports, workflows, and system integrations
• Perform system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution activities
• Support data migration, cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live stabilisation
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure system reliability, availability, and business continuity
• Work closely with cross-functional SAP teams to ensure seamless process and system integration
• Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business users and support teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend SAP S/4HANA best practices
• Provide ongoing application support and enhancement services within an in-house IT environment, where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of SAP consulting experience, including participation in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation project
• Strong hands-on configuration and functional expertise in:
  • SAP MM (Materials Management)
  • SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
• Experience with the following modules is advantageous:
  • SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
  • SAP QM (Quality Management)
  • SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)
• Proven experience in business process design, solution architecture, testing, deployment, and application support
• Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP S/4HANA processes across logistics, supply chain, inventory management, warehouse operations, quality management, and maintenance
• Experience working with SAP Fiori applications and SAP best practices
