The Assistant Financial Controller supports the financial operations of the Oceania Region, working closely with the Regional GM, Commercial Head, and leadership team to drive sustainable, profitable growth and regional vision. The role involves assessing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, supporting accounting, tax, and treasury activities, and ensuring compliance.

The ideal candidate is a reliable professional with broad knowledge of accounting, financial, and business principles. They are strategic thinkers and effective leaders capable of making profitable decisions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Drive financial planning and analysis by evaluating performance, risks, and opportunities.
  2. Contribute to regional strategy development, challenging assumptions, and providing financial guidance on activities, investments, and business drivers.
  3. Support the region's BSO accounting functions, including transactional, tax, and treasury activities.
  4. Prepare timely reports on financial performance and KPIs monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  5. Develop monthly outlooks with insights and risk/opportunity identification.
  6. Collaborate with senior teams, sales, marketing, and operations to grow the business.
  7. Lead the annual Target process aligning with corporate and segment requirements.
  8. Drive cost control and operational optimization.
  9. Build credibility and maintain strong relationships with external parties such as customers, vendors, and authorities.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and adaptability to new systems.
  • Strong accounting skills and data entry proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Independent, self-directed, team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in change management.
