The Assistant Financial Controller assists in the financial aspects of the Oceania Region and assists the Region GM, Commercial Head and leadership team in driving the sustainable profitable growth agenda and region vision. The role is responsible for contributing to assessing the financial performance of the region, as well as identifying and quantifying possible risks and opportunities, supporting local accounting, tax and treasury activities and ensuring financial compliance.

The job holder is a reliable professional with broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles. They are strategic thinkers and effective leaders who can make and recommend the most profitable decisions.

Comply with all relevant Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation, codes of practice, standards, policies, operating procedures and work instructions as outlined by Arxada.

Responsibilities:

Drive the financial planning and analysis for the region by analyzing its performance and risks and opportunities

Contribute fully to the development of regional strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, commercial arrangements, investments (marketing, CAR, personnel), asset optimization, overhead costs, plans, targets and business drivers

Support region BSO accounting function, including transactional, tax, and treasury

Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance and KPIs on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Prepare and describe the monthly outlook (YTD and and ROY forecast) with insight and identification of risks and opportunities.

Work with senior teams, sales, marketing, and operations to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans

Lead annual Target process in conjunction with Corporate, Segment, and BU requirements

Drive the cost control and optimization for operating the business.

Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers, vendors, government authorities, and advisors

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Microsoft, SAP and ability to learn new systems.

Accounting skills, Microsoft Excel and Word, data entry.

Good communicator, excellent articulation skills with the ability to communicate key concepts both verbally and in writing.

Effective listening skills, independent and self-directed, team-oriented, strong work ethic.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Change management.
