Join our Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant and gain exposure across a wide variety of financial processes.

In this role, you’ll support the Finance Manager and the wider business by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end processes, and compliance requirements. You’ll work across month-end journals, P&L and balance sheet reporting, bank reconciliations, property & lease management, purchase clearing, and statutory requirements for both New Zealand and Australia.

You’ll also play a key part in cashflow forecasting, reviewing payment runs, tax lodgments (IRD/ATO), and ad hoc projects that keep things moving. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in a collaborative and supportive team.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing month-end journals, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Overseeing bank reconciliations, POS variances, and purchase clearing
  • Managing property & lease accounting and related reporting
  • Supporting with vendor payments and accounts payable tasks
  • Compiling year-end information for financial statements and tax returns
  • Reviewing IRD/ATO lodgements and keeping up with legislative changes
  • Assisting with cashflow forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc projects
