Job summary

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities in Wellington is seeking an Asset Manager - Complexes to lead strategic and operational management of a portfolio of multi-storey complexes, body corporate and residential properties.

You will work across asset performance, compliance, maintenance planning and stakeholder management to ensure our properties remain fit for purpose, financially sustainable and deliver quality homes for our customers.

Qualifications

  • Strong property, asset or facilities management experience and ability to balance commercial, compliance and customer considerations.
  • Proven track record building effective relationships and solving complex problems to deliver long-term value.
  • Asset, facilities, property or body corporate management experience.
  • Strong understanding of property legislation, compliance and risk management.
  • Ability to analyse financial and technical information and make sound recommendations.
  • Experience managing contractors, service providers and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic and operational management of a portfolio of multi-storey complexes, body corporate properties and residential properties.
  • Oversee asset performance, compliance, maintenance planning and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure properties remain fit for purpose, financially sustainable and provide quality homes for customers.
  • Contribute to investment decisions and represent Kāinga Ora with external stakeholders including body corporates, councils and service providers.
  • Protect and enhance the value of housing assets across Aotearoa.

As an Asset Manager - Complexes, you'll be responsible for the strategic and operational management of a portfolio of multi-storey complexes, body corporate properties and residential properties. You'll work across asset performance, compliance, maintenance planning and stakeholder management, ensuring our properties remain fit for purpose, financially sustainable and provide quality homes for our customers.This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll contribute to investment decisions, manage complex property issues, oversee compliance requirements, and represent the interests of Kāinga Ora with external stakeholders including body corporates, councils and service providers. You'll play a key role in protecting and enhancing the value of our housing assets while helping deliver positive outcomes for communities across Aotearoa.
