About the role - Mō te tūranga

As an Asset Management Coordinator, you’ll be part of the National Fleet Team, reporting into the National Fleet Manager; playing a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our company and customers across New Zealand. You’ll be responsible for coordinating containers, tanks, Trucks, Trailers and other Fleet Assets, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and on time. Whether you’re planning delivery or problem-solving on the fly, you’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced team keeping New Zealand’s supply chain moving.

Additionally, you will:

  • Schedule, deploy and track company asset equipment daily between 26 Branches
  • Oversee intermodal supplies being fit for travel
  • Overseeing the on-boarding and off-boarding of equipment
  • Asset databases management (day to day upkeep)
  • Cost management: Issuing POs for Rentals and Leases and weekly reconciliation
  • Supporting with asset compliance requirements: RUC, Registrations, Tolls, Fines, Permits
  • Overseeing and keeping an accurate list of 1000+ Assets (Containers, Tanks, Trucks, Trailers)
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, vendors and carriers
  • Supporting the Asset Manager with Tracking & reporting on key fleet performance indicators
  • Leading Ad-Hoc asset projects as required

You’re a confident operator with a solid understanding of fleet or transport operations and the ability to stay organised in a fast-paced environment. You thrive on coordination, know how to get things done through others, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge.

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience within Fleet/Transport/Freight/FCL is highly desired
  • The right attitude and willingness to learn
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Great communication skills using various mediums (Phone, Email, Teams)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Great relationship management skills – with drivers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Working knowledge of compliance and safety requirements for fleet
  • Computer literate (Microsoft suite of tools – specially Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A full, clean, NZ driver’s licence
