Job description

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Asset Manager and Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance JV Team working on the Ara Tūhono Pūhoi to Warkworth project.

As the technical lead, you will oversee asset and maintenance scheduling, manage the RAMM database, and lead the quality system. You’ll ensure compliance with asset standards, response times, and maintain records on asset data, condition ratings, and maintenance actions.

What You’ll Bring To The Role
  • Strong expertise in asset management and maintenance, with experience leading technical initiatives in infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification (highly desirable).
  • At least five years of operational experience in asset management and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of highway maintenance, especially in high-density traffic environments.
  • Familiarity with Road Asset Maintenance Management (RAMM) systems is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, subcontractors, and the public.
  • Comfortable leading technical aspects of the project and supporting the wider team in maintenance strategy implementation.
  • Adaptability and willingness to develop additional skills as project demands evolve.
