Job description
Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on leader to supervise and operate our busy asphalt production plant, using the latest technology to blend and mix aggregate, bitumen, modifiers, polymers, fillers, and pelletised fibre. You’ll lead a team, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality every step of the way.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and operate the asphalt plant, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Lead, train, and develop your team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and drive a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor plant emissions and environmental compliance.
  • Oversee plant maintenance, stocktakes, and yard tidiness.
  • Communicate openly with staff, management, clients, and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Experience in asphalt production and plant operations.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools for asphalt production.
  • Strong understanding of QA and H&S procedures.
  • Appropriate licences (WTR, Class 1) and mechanical know-how.
  • Leadership skills to train, coach, and motivate.
  • Professional, courteous approach.
  • First aid qualification and National Certificate in Pavement Surfacing (preferred).
