Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking an Asphalt Plant Machine Operator to join our Queenstown team. You will operate the asphalt plant, loaders and associated equipment, perform routine maintenance and support daily plant operations to deliver high-quality asphalt products for our communities.

You'll work in a hands-on role with a experienced team, receive training across plant functions, and contribute to safe, efficient operations while rotating tasks and developing technical skills for career growth.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence with WTR endorsement is desirable but not essential.
• Asphalt industry knowledge or experience is desirable but not essential.
• Confidence working with computers, systems, and numbers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the asphalt plant safely and efficiently.
• Operate the loader and other plant equipment as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping activities.
• Direct on-site truck movements and manage deliveries.
• Load customers and ensure product quality and accuracy.
• Support health, safety, and operational excellence across the site.

We’re looking for an Asphalt Plant Machine Operator to join our Asphalt team in Queenstown. You’ll operate plant equipment, carry out maintenance activities, and support the day-to-day running of the asphalt plant while helping us deliver high-quality asphalt products and infrastructure solutions for our communities.

This is a hands‑on role within our busy Queenstown Asphalt Plant, working alongside a knowledgeable and experienced team. You'll receive training across multiple plant functions, gaining experience operating the loader, asphalt plant, and associated equipment. The role offers excellent variety, with daily task rotation and opportunities to develop your technical skills while contributing to safe and efficient plant operations.
