Ag Assist Limited in Ashburton District is seeking a reliable Farm Assistant to join a busy dairy farm team. Start date 25/07/2026. Farm milks 1500 cows using an 80-bail rotary shed with in-shed feeding and Protrack.

The operation runs a high-input system with silo king mixer wagon and a large feed pad; accommodation is shared (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms). The role offers a 6 days on, 2 days off roster year-round, with a competitive remuneration package in a supportive team environment.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Assistant to join our farm team. Start date 25/07/2026Our farm is located just 7 minutes south of Ashburton and milks 1500 cows. This consists of 300 autumn calvers 1200 spring calvers. This season we will be moving into spring only calving farm.Milking through a 80-bail rotary shed equipped with ACRs, in-shed feeding, Protrack and milk meters. The farm is irrigated using centre pivots on the dairy block and 3 Rotorainers on the run off block. Our farm runs a high input system with a silo king mixer wagon and 800 cow covered feed pad. This position offers a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom shared accommodation and operates on a 6 days on, 2 days off roster year-round. We off a competitive remuneration package in a supportive team environment.
