Job description

We’re T2, a tea brand known for its delicious tea made with premium, sustainable ingredients. Every day, we love to excite our customers by inviting them into our world of tea, online and in our retail stores across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Like our teas, our people are unique and diverse. We believe every team member brings different experience and skills to each role which is invaluable to T2. In return we provide training, incentives and encourage an inclusive culture through our policies and initiatives.

Today, we’re part of LIPTON Teas and Infusions, the world’s largest tea business. For our team, this connection opens opportunities to build global relationships, expand your career globally and participate in global programs and industry-leading initiatives.

Looking for a role that fills your cup? Good news, T2 Tea is looking for a Area Manager to join its passionate team.

About the role
  • The Area Retail Manager - New Zealand is a senior retail leadership role responsible for driving the commercial, cultural, and customer success of T2’s NZ store network.
  • This role combines operational excellence with market-level strategy, ensuring our stores consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting financial, compliance, and brand objectives. This includes delivering sales, EBIT, and trade KPIs, developing customer-first teams, ensuring safe and compliant operations, and executing T2’s omni-channel strategy.
  • The role is store-based but will include regular store visits across the network to coach, review, and embed operational and brand standards. This role is deliberately hands-on and store-focused, while also providing structured feedback to Support Office on stock flow, trade action plans, marketing opportunities, and market insights.
Key responsibilities
  • Own and manage NZ retail operations and P&L performance.
  • Act as the primary conduit between NZ store teams, Support Office and your line manager - escalating risks, feeding back market insights, and championing solutions.
  • Proactively develop and execute trade action plans to address sales performance, stock gaps, and market opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in stock management, trade action plans, and marketing execution.
  • Lead a high-performance team culture that delivers both sales growth and brand equity.
  • Represent NZ’s distinct consumer voice, piloting initiatives and providing structured insights into global strategy.
Life at T2
  • Competitive salary with bonus earning potential with T2’s performance incentive program + sales incentives.
  • Enjoy a 50% discount to spoil yourself, plus endless cups of tea.
  • Get recognition and rewards. T2 celebrates our teams contributions through the Moment Makers program, featuring exciting prizes.
  • Volunteer leave day per year with a purpose aligned organisation.
  • Workplace policies with impact: Menopause policy, Gender equity policy, Equitable remuneration policy and Flexible working arrangement options, including hybrid work.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
