Role

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, organised, and passionate Archivist to join our Development team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll care for Dio’s archives and art collection, making sure our history is well looked after — and brought to life for students, staff, alumnae, and the wider community.

Responsibilities
  • Look after our archival and art collections — both physical and digital.
  • Keep things safe, organised, and easy to find (from artefacts to images).
  • Share Dio’s stories through displays, events, and online platforms.
  • Support teachers and students with heritage resources for learning.
  • Build strong connections across our school, alumnae, and community.
Desired Skills And Experience
  • Experience in archives, museums, galleries, or heritage collections.
  • Great organisation skills and an eye for detail.
  • Confidence using digital tools and databases.
  • Strong communication skills — you can make history engaging!
  • An understanding of tikanga and culturally respectful care of taonga.
  • Relevant qualifications (or equivalent experience).
