Job summary

The University of Waikato is seeking an Architecture Practice Lead to guide a four-strong team of architects and own the governance framework shaping a future-ready digital environment. You will translate strategy into practical direction, engage senior stakeholders, and ensure solutions are aligned and sustainable.

Reporting to the Deputy CIO, this is a genuinely hands-on leadership role based at Hillcrest Campus, combining people leadership with delivery on strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Experienced architecture leader with formal people leadership of technical specialists.
• Deep expertise in TOGAF, governance, and technology strategy.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and diverse perspectives.
