Job summary

Ag Assist is seeking three arborists to service the Canterbury region, caring for trees and shrubs across diverse environments.

You will conduct tree health assessments, develop care plans, prune and rig, perform rigging, and maintain accurate records while prioritising safety and client satisfaction.

A minimum of three years’ experience or a Level 4 certificate, NZ citizenship/residency or valid work visa, and a clean safety record are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience or Level 4 certificate.
• NZ citizenship or residency or valid NZ work visa.
• Police & medical certificates required.
• Recent drug test.
• Driver's license.
• Did not claim ACC for the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough tree health assessments and risk evaluations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive tree care plans, including pruning, trimming, shaping, rigging, and fertilization.
• Perform tree climbing, rigging, and aerial work for maintenance tasks at various heights.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, maintenance activities, and client communications.
• Stay informed about industry trends and obtain relevant certifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE; ensure environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with property owners and managers to address tree-related concerns and provide expert recommendations.
