This is the first-ever intake of Tesla Apprentice Vehicle Technicians in New Zealand. This is your opportunity to enter the fast-growing world of electric vehicle (EV) servicing, learn from expert Tesla technicians, and undergo comprehensive training while completing an Australian Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology across a 4-year program.

As an Apprentice Automotive Technician, you’ll work in a high tech, fast paced environment, gaining hands on experience with Tesla’s cutting edge electric vehicles, tools, diagnostics software, and service systems. If you’re passionate about vehicles, mechanics, and sustainable transport, this program is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Tesla Service Team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
  • Perform basic vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance under supervision
  • Learn to use diagnostics tools and automotive software systems
  • Undertake an Australian recognised Certificate III in Automotive Electric Vehicle Technology
  • Complete Tesla specific training through our global learning platform
  • Maintain the workshop, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and assist in daily operations
  • Build knowledge of all Tesla models, service procedures, and safety standards
