Job summary

Truck Stops Nelson, part of Sime Motors, is hiring an Apprentice Heavy Diesel Technician. You’ll learn alongside experienced technicians to service, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy commercial vehicles, working toward a nationally recognised qualification through the MITO apprenticeship programme in a busy workshop.

This role suits someone with a positive attitude who is keen to learn, holds NCEA Level 2 (maths and English), a valid driver licence (full or restricted) and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Genuine interest in mechanics, trucks and how things work.
• MITO studies to achieve a national qualification.
• NCEA Level 2 or equivalent with Maths and English.
• Full or Restricted Driver Licence and reliable transport.
• NZ citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities
