Comvita Apiaries in New Zealand seeks an Apprentice Beekeeper to learn beekeeping by doing hands-on work with a supportive team in Kihikihi (Te Awamutu). You will work toward a New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3) as credits are recognised by NZQA.

You will gain skills in hive maintenance, honey harvesting, and safe operations, while developing communication and teamwork in a collaborative environment. The role fosters long-term growth in sustainable beekeeping.

About the role

As an Apprentice Beekeeper, you will develop the skills to:

• Maintain and manage productive beehives

• Harvest honey and other bee products

• Support hive transportation and placement

• Work safely and effectively in commercial beekeeping operations

You will work alongside experienced beekeepers who will support your development while helping you complete the New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3). All credits earned are recognised by NZQA.
