Job summary

The Warehouse is seeking an Apparel Manager at our Takanini store to lead the Clothing, Footwear, and Accessories department. You will guide and develop your team, drive sales, and ensure the department remains visually appealing and well-stocked.

You’ll also contribute to store opening and closing routines and uphold audit standards. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a can-do attitude, strong communication, and a track record of turning plans into action.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in retail or team environment.
• Drive, urgency and a can-do attitude.
• Ability to turn a plan into action and follow it through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort reviewing sales numbers and making data-driven decisions.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and support the team wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team with a focus on building future leaders.
• Apply visual merchandising guides to keep the department sharp and on-brand.
• Keep stock well presented and available with correct sizes on the shelf.
• Review sales and profit performance weekly and adjust approach to hit targets.
• Build a sales-focused culture through regular coaching and feedback.
• Keep the stockroom organised for quick restocking and smooth operations.
• Ensure Click & Collect orders are picked accurately and on time.
• Support a safe working environment and audit standards.
• Pitch in with store opening/closing and occasionally lead the store.

As our Apparel Manager, you'll lead the Clothing, Footwear, and Accessories department, making sure customers can find what they want, when they want it.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you'll:

• Lead, coach and develop your team, with a clear focus on building future leaders
• Apply visual merchandising guides to keep the department looking sharp and on-brand
• Keep stock well presented and available, including making sure the right sizes are on the shelf
• Review sales and profit performance weekly and adjust your approach to hit targets
• Build a sales-focused culture through regular coaching and feedback
• Keep the stockroom organised so your team can find and restock items quickly
• Make sure Click & Collect orders are picked accurately and on time
• Support a safe working environment and help maintain audit standards
• Pitch in with store opening and closing, and occasionally take charge of the whole store

Some days you'll be setting up next season's range, other days you're coaching a team member, digging into sales numbers, or sorting a stock issue before the doors open. It's a role that keeps you on your toes.
