The Salvation Army Waikato Bridge Centre exists to provide safe, integrated, high quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use. Our services are evidenced based best practise and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative and responsive.

The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) with responsibilities including casework, group facilitation and ensuring adherence to the Bridge Programme Model of Treatment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or addiction counselling as required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.

Person Specification

• Degree in Social Work or addiction counselling
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• DAPAANZ Registration
• Commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentiality

Hours of work

This is a permanent, full time role of 40 hours per week.

The starting salary

for this role will fall between$68,000.00 and $102,000.00 per annum. This role is covered by pay equity and the final remuneration will be dependent on the years of experience the preferred candidate brings to the role.
