Overview

As the Category & Activation Lead for the Consumer Products Division in New Zealand, you’ll report to the Head of Category & Activation for CPD NZ. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving category growth and delivering exceptional retail experiences.

About the Job
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive category plans that drive growth and profitability.
  • Engage with retailers to showcase category thought leadership, establish strong partnerships, and drive mutual growth.
  • Analyse category performance to identify opportunities, adjust plans, and meet objectives using advanced analytical skills.
  • Activate brands by developing and implementing robust activation plans, including point-of-sale materials to enhance customer experience.
  • Optimize assortments with channel-specific strategies that meet customer demands and maximize product offerings.
  • Support pricing & promotions by leveraging market insights to drive competitive pricing and impactful campaigns.
  • Lead and Develop Your Team by mentoring, setting clear objectives, and fostering excellence in activation strategy and execution.
About You
  • Have extensive experience in category management within FMCG, with a proven ability to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Possess advanced analytical skills, enabling you to track performance, identify opportunities, and adjust plans to meet objectives.
  • Have expertise in brand activation, including the development of impactful point-of-sale materials and customer-centric campaigns.
  • Have experience presenting to and influencing retailers, with a proven ability to communicate complex information clearly, confidently, and persuasively to secure favourable outcomes. Are adept at managing A&P investments, ensuring effective allocation to maximize ROI and achieve business goals.
  • Bring strong collaboration skills, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain.
  • Are a natural leader, with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering growth and excellence in execution.
