Job summary

Awanui Labs – Canterbury in Christchurch is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Anatomical Pathology team in a permanent, full-time role (80 hours per fortnight).

You will be responsible for performing anatomical pathology tests and analyses, maintaining accuracy, and working both independently and with the pathology team in a fast-paced environment. Registration with NZMC and APC is required, with flexibility in hours welcomed.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you will need to:
• Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Flexibility with your working hours will be invaluable to the team.
• A sound knowledge of laboratory operations including safety, operation of equipment and hands-on practical Histology experience preferred.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
