Anatomical Pathologist – Veterinary

With the largest network of NZ based veterinary pathologists located in 4 dedicated veterinary laboratories across New Zealand, we provide diagnostic pathology for livestock, companion animal veterinarians, university and research facilities as well as zoo and wildlife organizations.

About the role: We are looking for an Anatomical Pathologist to join our laboratory team based in New Zealand. This is a permanent, full-time position (64 hours per fortnight). Your work will provide challenges and variety across the science spectrum including, analyzing body tissues, fluids, and cells to identify diseases, conducting post mortems, performing gross and microscopic examinations of tissues and organs including biopsies as well as providing specialist advice and phone consultations to veterinary clients.

About you: To be successful in this role:

  • Perform pathology tests, and guide a skilled team to deliver high-quality services; includes on-call weekend work.
  • Veterinary Pathology degree recognised for New Zealand Registration by the Veterinary Council of New Zealand.
  • Experience in Diagnostic Veterinary Pathology.
  • Board Certification by the ACVP/ECVCP/ fellowship of the ANZCVS is preferred, however board-eligible or other highly qualified applicants will be considered.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality pathology service.
