The National University of Singapore is the national research university of Singapore. Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore.

Job Purpose

The Investment Office of the National University of Singapore manages all invested funds of the University. The funds are invested globally across liquid and illiquid asset classes including public equities, fixed income, private equities, hedge funds and real estate. The objective is to provide long term sustainable returns to allow the National University of Singapore to meet its spending needs for current and future generation.

The Investment Office of NUS is recruiting an investment analyst to join our Analyst Program 2026. This is a 2-year program offering the opportunity to learn about asset allocation, different investment strategies in various asset classes, risk management, portfolio management and operations.

Investment Work
  • Assist in researching and sourcing for investment ideas
  • Assist in the execution of investment due diligence work, including qualitative and quantitative analysis of prospective investment opportunities, interviewing the managers, reference checks, industry/sector research, preparing recommendation memo and legal documentation review
  • Assist in the portfolio monitoring and management of existing investments
  • Assist in preparation of reports, presentation or updates to the investment committee, NUS management or other stakeholders
  • Assist in taking meeting minutes for internal and external meetings
  • Assist with any other ad-hoc duties/projects required by the Investment Office
Qualifications
  • A degree in any discipline, with strong academic performance. Inquisitive, passion and interest in investing
  • Soft-skills: excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, learning agility and teamwork
  • Technical skills preferred (Word/Excel/PPT, R or Python, data analysis and visualization)
  • Relevant internship, project, or part-time work experience will be an advantage
